Everyone, meet Amelia Le Brun

We’re changing things up for the better. Our brand DNA has always been based around getting outdoors to soak up the best that nature has to offer, with our sunglasses are ready to protect your eyes when viewing horizons no matter where you are in the world. Designed for those who acknowledge the need for a better future, appreciate the world we live in and embrace the adventure of exploring it. But as the year comes to a close and we start looking ahead to what’s to come for us as a brand but most importantly as a planet, we are ready to close the gap and bring you all even closer to why we do what we do. We want to take things up a notch to show you exactly why we must make small steps leading to big change to help protect the natural world around us. Ending the year on a high we are bringing a pretty special person into our team, and a talented one at that. Everyone, meet Amelia. Our first ever brand ambassador!

Sometimes good things just land right in your inbox. Amelia Le Brun first got in touch with us back in the warmer months and stood out straight off the bat. It was obvious how skilled she was as a travel and lifestyle photographer (I mean, the images below speak for themselves) and her enthusiasm for exploring the world aligned with our viewpoint as a brand right away. But it was her open hearted approach to working together and to everything she does that made us sure she would be the ideal person to bring into our community and share her work with you all. Think of her as a travel guide with compassion, one who cares deeply about both people and planet (and her beloved dogs) whilst still appreciating the breadth of ups and downs that a life on the road has to offer. Over the coming months she’ll be taking us down paths less travelled, as well as getting a fresh look on some locations you may otherwise walk right past.

Each season she’ll share her adventures to inspire us all to get outdoors and keep protecting the incredible world around us. Expect knock-out photography, thoughts from the road and plenty of doggo content. To kick things off you can read about here trip to Venice in light of the flooding that has become more prevalent there due to climate change.

That’s all from us for now, but Amelia puts her own reasons for travel so well we thought it was only right you hear it direct from the source below.

‘My aim throughout my work and my life is to inspire other people to adventure more, take a chance follow your dream and don’t let fear stop you. As a solo female traveller, with an old VW van and a rescue dog I am considered to be in a very vulnerable position. There have been moments where I have doubted myself and what I’m doing, whether it’s sensible or feasible. But I tend to come to the same conclusion each time, I cannot let fear or doubt stop me doing what I love. I think one of my favourite things about travelling and living on the road is the ability to make connections and meet some incredible people.

As a natural introvert I always struggled in more traditional social situations, but once you have that common interest, and start travelling with the people you meet on the road you create a bond that is stronger than normal, and it’s a lot of fun. I have no interest in becoming inaccessible, both socially and professionally. My work is raw, with a considerable amount being shot on film I fall in love with less popular locations and imperfect experiences.’

We can’t wait to share her adventures with you. Stay tuned!

For now, follow Amelia and pals on the road here and here.
