My favourite Saltee holiday destination feels a long way off now but has to be Cape Town. The mix of beaches (I love Llandudno), bars (check out Loop Street for an urban wine tour) and great cycling and hiking (on Table Mountain but also Chapmans Peak) make it a very special place to visit. The opportunity to splurge on the finest cuisine at affordable prices makes it a very attractive destination. Of course, I can’t head there in the next 6 months as they have a very tight lockdown as they fight Covid-19. But I’m dreaming of a 2021 trip to enjoy everything the Cape has to offer.  The family and I like to keep active whilst we’re away so we always stock up on Saltee SPF30 Body Active Sun Lotion.  It’s great for the beach and exploring and lasts all day even when we’re constantly on-the-go.

I always make sure we set time aside for a trip to Mykonos. This Med destination puts the others in the shade when it comes to hot beaches, hotter beach clubs and the Saltee-st people. Our favourite spots for a delicious lunch are the evergreen Kikis Tavern, where you can swim in the clearest water whilst your lunch date keeps your place in the queue. The chic Principote is a beach club cum resto that always has great people watching and then there is Spilla, carved into a rock and beloved of the yacht crowd. Long lunch complete and had our post swim we like to hit the cobbled streets of Mykonos town. Never missing out on a sundowner at the 180 ̊ Sunset Bar which has great views over town.

Sailing around the Adriatic coastline in and around Split in Croatia; discovering hidden coves with clear blue waters. Island hopping is the thing to do; Trogir, Korcula, Vis and Bisevo are all gems to discover. From quaint old towns to waterfront eateries the most amazing experience had to be visiting the Blue Cave at Bisevo. Taking our tender in and swimming in the most Incredible water – I wouldn’t be without my Saltee SPF50 Face Sea & Sun Formula.  It’s perfect for the whole family whilst sailing the blue seas.  Ultra-high protection especially for the face.

For me, I like to stay a little closer to home.  Cornwall is my go-to destination each summer.  No matter where you go, you’re guaranteed beautiful views and stunning beaches.  My favourite hotsopts have to be St Ives, Padstow, Bude amongst others.  An amazing mixture of gorgeous harbours, picture perfect towns and some of the best Cornish landscapes you’l ever see!  I like to keep busy whilst I’m away, create a new adventure each time I visit.  I recommend a visit to Bude Sea Pool an off the radar of most tourist trails is Priest’s Cove, just south of Cape Cornwall. It’s a small lido, carved out of the rocks. I always pack my Saltee SPF30 Body Active Sun Lotion – staying active and always being out and about, this is ideal for strong sun protection and it smells amazing!

My destination of choice is the Provence-Alpes-Cote D’azur in South East France. It’s my favourite as I just love the old chateaus, markets, restaurants and exhibition spaces like Chateau La Coste. I always visit the Apt market which has a handful of great restaurants to eat and escape the hustle and bustle of the market. I love to stay in the small town of Bonnieux which has views for days across all neighbouring valleys.  I like to make sure I use a good everyday suncream whilst I explore the beautiful markets and restaurants (dining alfresco of course!) so I keep Saltee SPF50 Face Daily Protection Formula on me at all times.  It’s perfect to dab on mid-day for a freshen up.

Felicia

Felicia is our ‘camera ninja’ when it comes to photography for the Pala website. Hailing from Sweden, but now based close to the Pala Brighton HQ. When she’s not exercising her skills of mind control to make models relax on shoots you’ll find her in a cafe enjoying a good cup of coffee, or at home baking cinnamon buns.

EMMA

Emma

Emma is our marketing guru. When Emma isn’t planning, strategizing and creating content, she can be found travelling the world exploring its wonders, or in more recent times – headphones on with a paintbrush in her hand creating an abstract masterpiece!

MARY

Mary

Mary is the team leader of the Care4basket project in Bolgatanga, Ghana. When Mary is not organising and supporting the work across the communities, you will find her sowing sweet potatoes, ground nut, millet and looking after the animals on the farm.

Izzy

Izzy

Izzy is our Sales and Comms mastermind. When Izzy isn’t throwing herself down a mountain on a snowboard, she can normally be found rummaging through vintage shops or pounding the fields with her beloved puppy, Mac. She once mislaid a finger on a night out (eek!) – girl knows how to party!

cameraman

Justin

Justin is our ‘Film Alchemist’. When he’s not laying on the floor looking for the next shot he’s either exploring the finest bourbons and listening to obscure country music tracks from the 50s and 60s. Normally found planning his next trip abroad or fuelling the pineapple on pizza debate. Just so you know he’s firmly in the Hawaiian camp!
